Chieftains gear up for post-season play

With an area title in hand and playing host to the area tournament, the Chieftains are sure of one thing: it will compete in the sub-regional round of the 2A state playoffs. Chieftains ranked #6 in latest ASWA rankings

Fresh off of the regular season title in 2A Area 1 the Chieftains moved up to #6 in 2A. Chickasaw has put together a 5-game win streak since a home loss to 4A #8 UMS-Wright. The Chieftains’ remaining regualr season games are on the road at 5A East Central (MS) and at 4A #8 UMS-Wright.

Boys debut at #12 in ASWA class 2A rankings

Lashawn Williams: Player of the Month

Lashawn Williams has been named player of the month (November) for the varsity boys basketball team.Williams helped guide the Chieftains to a 4-1 record in November including a current 6 game win streak. Williams also leads the team in scoring just under 10ppg. His 10rpg is second behind only Kendell Grimes.

Chickasaw High School’s basketball program will continue its evaluations for next year’s teams throughout the summer. The middle school, junior varsity, and varsity participants are required to participate in all Tribe Time activities including workouts and tutoring.
